Note: The
depth of the sill will determine if your window covering can be installed
inside (IB) or outside (OB) the casing. Width: Select the narrowest of the three dimensions and order that width. Height: Select the shortest of the three dimensions and order that height. Did you know…? Hold-down brackets installed on the door and secured to the bottom rail will help prevent blind swing-out when door is opened or closed. |
Width: Measure from outside left edge to outside right edge of casing/trim molding, order that width. Height: (Option A with flat casing trim) Measure from the top edge of the casing/trim to the bottom edge of casing/trim and order this height. Caution: Casing/trim height must be 1-3/4” min. for proper bracket installation. Height: (Option B with sill) Measure from top edge of casing/trim down to the window sill and order this height. |
Width: Select the widest of three dimensions, add 3” for overlap on each side and order that width. Height: Select the longest dimension. Add 3” (2” to mount and conceal the headrail from exterior view and 1” for bottom rail) and order that height. Did you know…? |

for Measuring Accuracy
No single aspect of the window coverings business impacts customer satisfaction more than measuring. Accurate measurements are essential.
Inside Mounting Depth Make three measurements for each dimension and record the smallest width x height measurement, rounding down to 1/8”. Measure the opening on the diagonals. If these dimensions are not exactly the same consider ordering and outside mount for optimal privacy and light control.
